A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER As an Assistant Property Manager, you support the lead in running the day-to-day property management operations of the residential community.
You collect and keep track of rent, deposits, late fees, and conduct move-out reconciliations.
For prospective residents, you verify rental, employment, and credit history as well as prepare all lease documentation for new residents.
You work to minimize apartment evictions and reduce delinquency, but you do handle evictions properly when necessary.
You market the property in order to fill vacancies quickly and maximize retention rates.
You ensure that everything is handled according to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Though you spend a lot of time working independently, you also get to interact with people regularly as you communicate with our residents in order to keep our residential community running smoothly.
Your biggest focus is on securing the community's income consistently on a monthly basis.
You enjoy building good relationships and take pride in helping provide well-managed living arrangements for our tenants while maximizing profits for our residential company! QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER High school diploma or GED 2 years or more of community management experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation Experience with Yardi software would be a plus.
