Disclaimer:
This is an position for civil & grading construction (not building construction).
Seeking Experienced Construction Superintendents and Project Managers.
Experience in civil construction is required.
Must be able to read civil plans with great accuracy.
Experience with highway guardrails a plus.
We perform grading, excavating, paving, concrete, drainage projects for various local and state governments.
You must have experience in the previously mentioned and not building construction.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Directly supervise multiple crews.
- Ability to read civil and grading plans.
- Schedule and supervise subcontractors and vendors.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and positive attitudes.
- Plan and implement all field construction work on numerous projects.
- Balance workload to maintain consistent, adequate workforce levels.
- Communicate and schedule with other superintendents and project managers.
- Work with managers to plan and implement the work and control costs.
- Interface with field inspectors and owner's representatives.
- Organization of construction materials and delivery methods.
- Optimize labor and equipment needs among all ongoing projects - Coordinate labor, equipment, and tool needs with central dispatch office.
- Willing to travel to various locations as projects warrant.
- Perform and attend weekly safety meetings with employees.
- Submit daily reports and timesheets.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high productive environment.
- Demonstrate decision making skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Must be punctual at all times.
- Excellent supervisory communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
Job Type:
